The SDI Review process yields one of four outcomes. These are: Approval (denial), remand, remand, recommendation for waiver, and remand. No matter whether the review was conducted internally or by an external consultancy firm, it's designed to enable businesses to save money. SDI integrates with existing portfolios to reduce waste and provide mission-critical functions. SDI offers managed program compliance and service programs for independent contractors. To provide the best possible solutions to each client, SDI aims to integrate its operations.
Sdi reviews result in approval, denial or remand for more information or a recommendation for waiver
After the SSA receives a completed SSDI review, it decides whether to approve, deny, or remand for additional information. It then sends the MDH Unit a memo informing them whether the data-related agreements are approved, deferred, or renewed. If the agreement is approved, the MDH unit may proceed with execution.
If an application has been denied, the SSA will issue a second notice. The applicant is allowed to request a hearing before the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) within sixty-five working days. This hearing is similar to those held on disability issues. This hearing can be held in person or over the telephone, or via videoconference. The hearing may include witnesses from the applicant's or his/her representative who can testify about the issues or the circumstances of the denial. The ALJ may also arrange for expert testimony to support the case. If the applicant is unsuccessful, the ALJ will send a written notice to him or her detailing the reasons for their decision. The hearing could take many months.

A disability review could take up to seven years. It could be denied, approved or remanded if the applicant needs additional information. The SSA may also begin a disability review if the individual has improved medically and could return to work.

Cognito Forms: Data-related agreement submitted through Cognito Forms to SDI Team
A Data-Related Agreement, a legal document, must be approved by the SDI Team before it can be executed. These agreements must be submitted through Cognito Forms and must include the relevant documentation and proposed contracts. The SDI Team has 30 days to review a Data-Related Agreement, and they may ask for more information such as security controls and a SOC 2 Type II audit. They can also ask any additional questions, including questions regarding data migration.
Once a Data-Related Agreement (DRA) is submitted, the SDI Team reviews the documents and will recommend contracts. The Agreement is subjected to the same privacy/security policies as other forms submitted through Cognito Forms.
