Popular diving area is the Molasses Reef south. There are large grouper, sharks as well as tarpon and eagle-rays. The dive site is in a Sanctuary Preservation Area so fishing is not allowed. The name Molasses Reef came from the fact that the SS Slobodna, a ship trying to transport cotton back to Europe, ran aground here.
