Advanced Technical Diving Certifications

scuba diving certification

Advanced technical diving certifications are available for those who wish to pursue them. TDI offers Intro to Tech, Advanced Nitrox, and Decompression Procedures courses. PADI offers Tec Trimix as well as Deep Diver courses. Advanced Nitrox training is offered by TDI to recreational Nitrox divers. The course covers equipment use, gas switching, advanced emergency techniques and lift bag deployment. You can find more information on the TDI site.

TDI Intro to Tech course

The TDI Intro to Tech is a standalone training program that allows you to expand your recreational training and learn more advanced technical skills. It can also serve as a great introduction to TDI's advanced courses, such as Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures. Alternatively, it can serve as a refresher for those who have already taken technical courses. During the course, technical instructors at TDI can assess your skills.

The TDI Intro to Tech course can be used by divers who haven't dived before with twin cylinders and a wing. It also covers advanced buoyancy control and gas management. Students will also develop situational awareness, as well as trim skills. The course is taught in open cenotes, or at sea. Advanced gas planning techniques and methods will also be covered. This course is designed to improve your open water diving skills and introduce you to the technical equipment configurations. You will also learn how to use advanced gas planning techniques. It is strictly a no-decompression course, but you will be allowed to use enriched air nitrox mixes during the course.

Course on TDI Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures

TDI Advanced Nitrox and Deco Procedures courses prepare divers for accelerated and staged decompression. During this course, students learn advanced gas planning and management techniques to ensure that their dives are as safe as possible. Students also learn how to manage their equipment and plan for contingencies. A TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Methods course includes four dives that can reach a maximum depth to 40 meters (130 ft).

This course is available as either a standalone or part of an Advanced Nitrox or Decompression Procedures certificate. Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures courses last four days and are performance-based. Six dives are required, with two below 30m. Students complete the course based on their personal experience and requirements. This course prepares students in advanced technical diving.

PADI Tec Trimix course

The PADI Tec Trimix90 certification course is the last stage of the PADI Technical Diver Open Circuit path. This certification allows you to dive deeper and go places that no one else has. This course is for experienced tec divers who wish to expand their diving range and explore deeper waters. In order to be certified in trimix diving, you must have a valid diver license and have undergone a medical examination. For this certification you will need two 30cf Stage bottles and a Face Mask.

PADI Tec Trimix 65 Divers must have logged at the very least 350 dives. The course also covers technical diving techniques. It also offers multiple teaching scenarios. It is considered the most advanced course in technical dive certification. It is important to remember that the requirements for technical diving certification are more challenging than those of the PADI Tec Diver program.

PADI Tec Deep Diver course

PADI Tec deep diver certification is for recreational divers. This certification includes four dives. It also covers safety stops and descents. You will also practice the use of technical diving equipment, such as a side-mounted cylinder and EANx. You'll also learn about how to plan a deep dive and manage your gas supply. Online and offline lessons are both possible through the PADI Tec eLearning program.

This program can be completed in just two years unlike the PADI courses. First, you must obtain a Tec 50 diver certification from an approved organization. You must be able to dive at 50m, deep diving and pure oxygen. The Tec Deep Instructor course director may also offer Tec 50 level training. Tec Deep Diver certification will be issued to you by the PADI Course Director after completion of the Tec Deep Instructor training.
