Diving Certificate Levels

scuba dive

A introductory course for those who are interested in diving is a great option. Also known as a buceo (or baptism of water), this course is a great choice for those with little or no experience and those who are short on time. To begin diving at 12 metres or more, you'll need to be accompanied by a professional instructor. If you choose to continue your training, you will be able to obtain a Rescue or Advanced open-water certification.

PADI Scuba Diver

There are many PADI Scuba Diver levels. Those who are just starting out can start with the introductory course and advance to a higher level once they've reached certain levels of competency. PADI Scuba Diver courses are made up of 14 modules that can be broken down into three sections. The course usually lasts three days, but can be upgraded in as little as 1/1.5 days. This course is very popular and allows you to dive up to 18 metres.

Advanced open-water diver

Advanced open water divers are those who have completed an Open Water Diver Course and have obtained an AOW certification. AOW divers have the ability to dive at depths exceeding 60 feet. They are also able to work on buoyancy and air consumption. Advanced open water divers may also be able to perform specialty dives, such as wreck diving. There are many levels to an AOW certificate. Below are the differences among these levels. For more information about these levels, please read on!

Rescue diver

There are three levels for Rescue Diver certifications: technical, recreational, or dive leader. International Standards Organisations (ISO) set the standards for these levels. The levels of this training are based on BS EN 14413-2:2004 and ISO 24801-1:2004, respectively. Instructors at level one are qualified to teach recreational divers, assess their knowledge and plan and lead dives. They are also qualified to lead open-water divers and teach rescue skills.

Cave-1 class

A cave diver certification program involves a minimum of 40 hours of academic instruction and experience. The course content covers cave diving skills and procedures, emergency procedures, and information about the hazards and challenges in the environment. During their cave course, students are tested on their skills. There are two parts to the course: academics and water-based activities. The students must pass a quiz, take an exam, and prove their skill and proficiency. The student must also complete a cave dive manual.

Master Scuba Diver

Master Scuba Diver certification comes in five levels. Open Water is the first level. It is where you learn to dive, manage your gear, and teach others. The second level includes electives, which you can choose. Master Scuba Divers can join other certified divers as long they are certified. This level also comes with a 10% discount on the five courses.
