Courses in Nitrox Certification

pool diving board

You have many reasons to get certified in Nitrox diving. Nitrox diving gives you the opportunity to feel the thrill of enriched water. It can also help you feel more confident as a diver. Many organizations offer certification courses. These courses include the NAUI Enriched Airnitrox Diver (PADI Enriched Air Diver), SSI Adventure Diver (Open Water Diver), and PADI Enriched Air Diver (PADI Enriched Air Diver).

PADI Enriched Air Diver

PADI Enriched Air Divers is for divers who desire to extend their dive time. It includes a short classroom session as well as home study. The EANx course teaches you about the oxygen content in the scuba tanks, how to use a scuba analyzer and the standard procedures for recording that percentage.

You can prolong the time you can stay underwater with Nitrox-enriched air divers without having to make frequent stops. This is because the air mix contains less nitrogen. It has a higher safety margin. Also, enriched air mix usually has 32% or 36% oxygen. This makes them great for shallower dives.

NAUI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver

If you want to improve your diving, an enriched air diver certification will help you get there. This course teaches you the fundamentals of blending air, the risks associated with high oxygen concentrations, and how to handle the equipment. You will also learn how to use a dive computer and analyze your tanks. Additionally, you will learn how to use a standard air diving table and the Equivalent Water Depthance (EANx). Also, you'll learn about common blending processes for nitrogen/oxygen.

Nitrox, also known to some as enhanced air, is a form of breathing gas which contains more oxygen that standard air. The higher oxygen content will allow you to stay underwater longer, without the need for refilling your tank. This is beneficial for your health because it relieves decompression fatigue. Also, enriched air divers have shorter surface intervals.

SSI Adventure Diver

SSI is an internationally recognized diving organization, and the SSI Adventure Diver Nitrox Certification is one of its most advanced ratings. You must have knowledge and experience in order to be certified. To receive this award, you must have completed at least 50 dives and four specialty courses.

The SSI Adventure Diver nitrox course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to dive in limited visibility. It teaches divers how navigate in dark conditions, use specialized equipment, communicate with other divers, and how to communicate with them. After completing this course, they will be eligible to apply for the SSI Nitrox Specialty certification.

SSI Open Water Diver

The SSI Open Water Diver Course is an internationally recognized certification program. It includes three sections: academic learning; in-water swimming pool training; and multiple open water dives. This course teaches you how plan and dive with oxygen-enriched air mixes, up to 40%. This can increase your bottom speed and decrease your surface time. It also helps you avoid decompression syndrome.

PADI and SSI have different certification procedures. PADI certifications require you to purchase your manual. An SSI certification allows you to receive your card at the dive center where your course was completed. You may also be able to use temporary cards from PADI certification centres as proof of your certification.
