Advanced technical diving certifications are available for those who wish to pursue them. TDI offers Intro to Tech, Advanced Nitrox, and Decompression Procedures courses. PADI offers Tec Trimix as well as Deep Diver courses. Advanced Nitrox techniques are covered in the TDI Advanced Nitrox course. This course is for recreational Nitrox divers. This course covers equipment usage, gas switching and advanced emergency techniques such as lift bag deployment. For more information, please visit the TDI Website.
TDI Intro To Tech Course
The TDI Intro to Tech course is a standalone training course that helps you expand on your recreational training and gain a deeper knowledge of advanced technical skills. It can also serve as a great introduction to TDI's advanced courses, such as Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures. You can also use it to refresh those who have previously taken technical courses. During the course technical instructors from TDI will evaluate your skills.
For divers who have never dived with twin cylinders or a wing, the TDI Intro to Tech course will be helpful. It also covers advanced buoyancy control and gas management. Students will also acquire situational awareness and trim skills. The course is taught in open cenotes, or at sea. Advanced gas planning techniques will be taught. This course is designed for open water divers to improve their skills and introduce them to the technical equipment configurations. Advanced gas planning techniques will also be covered. This course is not for decompression, but you can use enriched air-nitrox mixtures during it.

Course in TDI Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures
TDI Advanced Nitrox & Deco Procedures classes prepare divers for accelerated, staged and controlled decompression. The course covers advanced gas planning, management and safety techniques. Students also learn how they manage their equipment and plan to handle any unexpected events. A TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Methods course includes four dives that can reach a maximum depth to 40 meters (130 ft).
This course can either be taken in its entirety or as part of an Advanced Nitrox or Decompression Procedures certification. Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures courses can be taken as a performance-based course and last for 4 days. Sixteen dives are required and two of the dives must be below 30 meters. Students complete the course based on their personal experience and requirements. This course prepares students to dive in advanced technical conditions, including wrecks in Scapa Flow or the UK.
PADI Tec Trimix course
The final step in the PADI Technical Diver open-circuit path is the PADI Tec Trimix90 course. This certification course opens doors to deeper dives and allows divers to discover new places. This course is only suitable for highly experienced tec divers who want to extend their range and explore deeper environments. To become certified in trimix dive, you need to have a valid license as a diver and must have passed a medical examination. For this certification you will need two 30cf Stage bottles and a Face Mask.
The Tec Trimix 65 diver must log at least 350 dives and at least 50 decompression dives using less than 21 percent oxygen for the PADI Tec Trimix course. The course also emphasizes technical diving techniques. This course includes many teaching scenarios. This is the most advanced technical diving certification. It is important to remember that the requirements for technical diving certification are more challenging than those of the PADI Tec Diver program.

PADI Tec Deep Diver course
PADI Tec Deep Diver certification for recreational divers is an advanced course. This certification covers four dives, including a practice of safety stops and descents. Additionally, you will learn how to use technical diving equipment such as a side-mounted cylinder or EANx. Learn how to plan deep diving and manage your gas supplies. It's possible to take your lessons online or offline, and the PADI Tec eLearning program allows you to do it at your own pace.
This program is two years long, unlike the PADI courses. First, you'll need to get a Tec 50 diving certification from an authorized organization. You must be able to dive at 50m, deep diving and pure oxygen. The Tec Deep Instructor course is also offered by the PADI Course Directors. Upon completion, the PADI Instructor Course Director will issue a Tec Deep Diver Certification.
