TDI Extended is a course that caters to divers who don't have access to Trimix. It emphasizes solid procedures, skill development, and diver response to situations. Students will learn how two decompression gases can be used and how to safely diversify in the Extended Range environment. TDI Extended Range training diving is conducted using nitrox, air, or both.
TDI Trimix
TDI Trimix certification opens the doors to many new dive sites. This certification allows divers to have more bottom-time and can reach up to 60m/200ft. Extended Range training is also available via eLearning. TDI eLearning is available online if you cannot find a dive shop in your area. This course will show you the many benefits of extended-range diving.
The Extended Range course will help you dive in more challenging environments and lower your nitrogen narcosis. You'll learn how to plan and execute stage decompression dives by using up to two stage bottles and enriched air or oxygen. You can also combine the Extended Range course with TDI Trimix Diver certification.
TDI Trimix training is designed to prepare you for advanced and safe diving. TDI Trimix training focuses primarily upon safety and skill building, as it is necessary to quickly address problems at depths of up to 60 meters. Divers need to be comfortable with procedures that will avoid any complications in order to do this.
