An introductory course will help you get started in diving if your interest is not sparked by a specific topic. Also known as a buceo (or baptism of water), this course is a great choice for those with little or no experience and those who are short on time. The course can be completed at 12 metres. However, you will need to have a qualified instructor. If you want to take more classes, you can upgrade your certification to Rescue or Advanced open water.
PADI Scuba Diver
There are several PADI Scuba Diver courses. The introductory course can be taken by those just starting out and they can then move up to the next level after they have reached certain competency levels. PADI Scuba Diver's course is comprised of 14 modules. The modules are broken into three sections. The course typically lasts for three days. However, it can be upgraded in as little a 1/1.5 day. This is the most well-known course and will permit you to dive up 18 meters.

Advanced open water diver
Advanced open water divers are those who have completed an Open Water Diver Course and have obtained an AOW certification. AOW divers can dive further than the recommended depth of 60 feet. They are also able to work on buoyancy and air consumption. Advanced open water divers may also be able to perform specialty dives, such as wreck diving. There are several levels of AOW certificates. These levels have different requirements. Continue reading to learn more about the different levels.
Rescue diver
There are three levels of Rescue Diver certification: technical, recreational and leader. International Standards Organisations (ISO) set the standards for these levels. These training levels are based respectively on BS EN14413-2:2004 & ISO 24801-1. Level-one instructors can teach recreational divers, assess them up to level one, and plan and execute dives. They can also lead divers in open waters and assist with rescue operations.
Cave-1 class
A cave diver certification program involves a minimum of 40 hours of academic instruction and experience. The course content covers cave diving skills and procedures, emergency procedures, and information about the hazards and challenges in the environment. During their cave course, students are tested on their skills. There are two parts to the course: academics and water-based activities. Students must also pass a quiz and take an exam to prove their proficiency. The cave diving course requires that the student complete a manual.

Master Scuba Diver
Master Scuba Diver certification is available in five levels. Open Water diving is your first level. Here you can learn how to safely dive and manage your scuba gear. You can also choose electives at the next two levels. Master Scuba Divers can join other certified divers as long they are certified. This level also comes with a 10% discount on the five courses.
